You have just installed SociWeb. Here is what to do, in this order. It takes about half an hour.
Go to Magón panel → Setup wizard and press the button to create the menus. In one pass it builds:
Watch out for this one, it is the most common confusion: in Joomla a menu does not appear on the site just because it exists. It also needs a module to show it. The wizard creates both, but if you ever build a menu by hand, remember the module or nobody will see it.
Magón panel → Options → Association identity. Name, town, logo and email address. This shows up in the emails you send, on the membership cards and on Google, so it is worth five minutes.
Before adding a single member, decide how yours is divided: adult, junior, supporter, retired… It is done in Magón panel → Subsections. Fees hang off these, so changing it later is considerably more work.
If you are coming from a spreadsheet, do not type them in one by one: see the import part of the Members section of this manual.
The same wizard has a button to load demonstration content: committees, events, a gallery and two rule documents. It lets you see how everything looks before putting your own in, and it can be deleted afterwards.
